Christina L. Brown has three decades of experience in all areas of intellectual property law, with substantial first chair litigation experience. She has represented clients in litigation in the patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets arena, acting as trial counsel in both bench and jury trials. Chris has broad experience in appellate proceedings, including in matters before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, other federal appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has deep experience in trademark prosecution and works with both foreign and domestic clients to create cost-effective strategies for protection of trademarks and brands, and to enforce trademark rights against infringers.

Chris has given presentations to groups in the business and legal fields and has taught classes on intellectual property law. She assisted the Court behind-the-scenes in the well-known “intermittent windshield wiper” patent cases that became the subject of the Hollywood movie A Flash of Genius, starring Greg Kinnear. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York, as well as in numerous state and federal courts.

Chris has enjoyed representing clients in a variety of fields and industries, from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies; from mom-and-pop businesses to publicly-traded companies. She has experience across a variety of technologies, from restaurants and food-service, to biotechnology and medical devices, to pharmaceuticals, construction and agriculture.

In her free time, Chris enjoys hiking, travel, and re-purposing vintage items. She is already planning the 100-year birthday party for her 1927 Magic Chef 6300 stove.
